Learning Outdoors
At Whitegate we believe that many children learn lifelong skills through their explorations of the natural environment. Therefore we value highly the learning which takes place outdoors.
Nature is important to children’s development in every major way: intellectually, emotionally, socially, spiritually and physically.
I will understand problem solving, self-exploration, decision making, number relationships, structures, complex vocabulary, healthy living, cause and effect, creativity, imaginative thinking, and my natural world when I am big. Because I play outside when I am little.
