Menu & Snacks
The Centre is part of Lancashire’s Healthy Schools initiative. Children are provided with three nutritious, balanced meals, prepared by our own cook. Children will be offered a drink of juice at mealtimes only. This social occasion encourages children to sit at the table, use a spoon, knife and fork and try different foods and to talk to each other. We encourage children to gain independence by serving their own food.
Snacks are available during morning and afternoon sessions where the children are offered a small portion of fruit and/or vegetable sticks and a drink of milk or water.
Drinking water is available for all children throughout the day.
Birthdays: we can make your child’s day special in lots of different ways. However, we ask that parents DO NOT bring in sweets to share out amongst the children.
Our centre is also part of the Healthy Heroes initiative and we ask that parents support us by not bringing (or allowing children to bring) fizzy drinks, juices and sweets into the centre.
